Some thief is nicking our number plates in our car park just so they can attach them to their cars and escape paying for petrol, paying the London congestion charge and further more can rob banks, etc… and what come backs have they got? None. Only the poor people who lose their plates to these sinister people actually get the law on their backs… because it seems like it’s them that are breaking the law! Not really nice is it!

Back in the late 80’s I remember listening to my AM radio and tuning into Radio 1 around about the 9AM slot (which tells you that I must have been bunking school at the time but that’s another story). I can always remember that Simon Bates’s Our Tune would be on, with Simon giving you, the dear listener a kind of ‘love’ come ’sob’ true story of a loving couple that would end with you feeling tearful or/and heart broken (that’s whether the ending was happy or sad). What a killer that always was.

Talking about killing, sadly Radio 1 dropped Simon Bates and with him Our Tune too. For a while he appeared on Sky One with Our Tune on the telly (which wasn’t quite the same as the radio version). Now Simon has re-appeared on Classic FM but sadly without his Our Tune segment.

Today, imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon this Our Tune sound clip found off of the Internet. Not quite Simon Bates, not quite a tear jerker but instead very funny all the same.
